My skincare routine

I am a skincare enthusiast. Honestly, I love it. Maybe even more than makeup? Okay… maybe not that much. Still, it is so so important to look after your skin, and makes the whole makeup applying process so much easier. Of course my skincare routine includes lots of The Body Shop products, surprise surprise…

I know what you might be thinking, thats a lot of products Georgia?! Eleven to be exact. But don’t worry I don’t use all of these daily, I thought I’d break it down into what I use every single day and products that I use a couple of times a week, or just when I feel like my skin needs it.

These are the products that I use each night, I only use one product in the morning which I will mention later. I warned you that most of them would The Body Shop products! I photographed them in the order that I use them, to make things a little easier. I start with the L’Oréal absolute eye makeup remover eye & lip. This gets the job done and melts away any eye or lip products. Next I remove the majority of my makeup with the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash, which cleans my face whilst keeping bleamishes at bay. The rest of the products I use are all part of the Vitamin E range, you can shop the range here. After washing my face, I cleanse using the cream cleanser, and then remove any excess with the hydrating toner. Then I use the eye cream, before applying the nourishing night cream. I love this range so much (if you couldn’t already tell!) and it is especially great for those of us who have dry skin.

In the morning’s my routine is completely simple in comparison to all of those steps above. I use the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash, the Vitamin E Eye Cream and the Vitamin E moisture cream, which has a much lighter consistency compared to the night cream.

These next four products are things I use a couple of times a week or whenever I feel like my skin needs an extra boost. First is The Body Shop Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet. What is it with this skincare range?! I mentioned this in a recent post and since then I have continued to love it! I also use the Boots Tea Tree and Witch Hazel Exfoliating Face Scrub about twice a week, as my skin is very sensitive and I don’t want to irritate it too much. Next is the Estée Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum. This has got to be the most expensive beauty item I have ever purchased, costing £70 (apparently it has now gone up by £2, shocking), a lot of people think I’m crazy to spend that kind of money. even think i’m crazy, but I started using it when my skin was in a bad place about two years a go and it really saved it. I used to use it morning and night, but now I only use it on occasions when my skin really needs it. I don’t think i’ll ever repurchase this again, so i’ll be on the hunt for an alternative serum… Maybe I’ll have a look at the Vitamin E range eh…

The last product I will mention (this has been waaay longer than expected) is The Body Shop Drops Of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask. This truly deserves a special mention. I mean, I know I already have youthful skin, but theres no harm in maintaining it, right? You apply this mask aka ‘goo’ right before bed, it feels kinda gross and tacky, so you do have to look past that part. But it’s so worth it in the morning when you wake up with a baby soft, plumped, hydrated face. Definitely a treat for your skin, 10/10 from me.

Oops this was pretty lengthy! What are your go to skincare products?
