So on Saturday I visited a place called Jump In to celebrate my brothers twelth birthday, so naturally I thought it would be a nice idea to do a little review type post, and basically tell you all about how fun it was.
For those of you who have no idea what Jump In even is, it is basically a massive trampoline ‘arena’, as they call it, as well as foam pits and all that good stuff. Check out their website here.
As you can see there are lots of colourful lights all over the arena, there is also great music playing, both of which really do create a general buzz. It is pretty loud and this is mainly due to the amount of children in one area, so bare that in mind. And as there are so many people bouncing around (literally) it is hard to actually spot the people you are with, so matching coloured tops would not be a bad idea.
In terms of the physical side of things, you get very sweaty. And if you’re a busty girl like myself a sports bra is a must, I actually don’t want to imagine what it would be like without one. Ouch. As I have a FitBit, which tracks how many calories I have lost throughout the day, I decided to check it before and after. So before I started I had burnt 2,218 calories that day and by the time I had finished the hour of jumping I had burnt 2,928. Which is 700+ calories burnt just from an hour of having fun!
The pricing is reasonable too. For each person it is £10 an hour, however it is £12 an hour if you want to have grippy socks thrown in, which i would definitely advise. I can imagine a few accidents happening if you don’t wear these, which reminds me to mention that before you start you have to sign a waiver and watch a short video of what to do and what not to do, this is purely procedure, but I understand why they do it. Anyway, as I was saying about the grippy socks, you get to keep these in with the £12 price, so you not only get a nice souvenir, you can also re-use them when you go back again. For an additional hour it is an extra £6.
I can really see why it is the new hype. It is great for parties too, as they have food areas where they even arrange pizza or hotdogs (check out their website for more information on this), and also a private party room. The fact they have a toddler area (under five’s) really does make it possible for the whole family to have a wonderful day out.
Let me know if you have ever been? We all cannot wait to go back!
