Recently I have been loving tea, but not the regular kind (in fact, I hate the regular kind). I have been loving herbal tea, and especially loving the benefits of it. My favourite range of tea is from M&S, they taste delicious and are only £1 a box!
So what are the benefits?
Green tea… Many people drink this for weight loss, as it increases fat burning. It is also known to speed up your metabolism, which naturally helps when trying to lose weight. It is also meant to help lower the risks of different types of cancer, alzheimer’s disease, parkinson’s disease and type two diabetes. Not only this, but it can actually make you smarter! It sounds too good to be true. Personally, I just love the taste, but it makes it a whole lot better knowing that my health may benefit from it. Continue reading
I am a skincare enthusiast. Honestly, I love it. Maybe even more than makeup? Okay… maybe not that much. Still, it is so so important to look after your skin, and makes the whole makeup applying process so much easier. Of course my skincare routine includes lots of The Body Shop products, surprise surprise…
I know what you might be thinking, thats a lot of products Georgia?! Eleven to be exact. But don’t worry I don’t use all of these daily, I thought I’d break it down into what I use every single day and products that I use a couple of times a week, or just when I feel like my skin needs it.
These are the products that I use each night, I only use one product in the morning which I will mention later. I warned you that most of them would The Body Shop products! I photographed them in the order that I use them, to make things a little easier. I start with the L’Oréal absolute eye makeup remover eye & lip. This gets the job done and melts away any eye or lip products. Next I remove the majority of my makeup with the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash, which cleans my face whilst keeping bleamishes at bay. The rest of the products I use are all part of the Vitamin E range, you can shop the range here. After washing my face, I cleanse using the cream cleanser, and then remove any excess with the hydrating toner. Then I use the eye cream, before applying the nourishing night cream. I love this range so much (if you couldn’t already tell!) and it is especially great for those of us who have dry skin.
In the morning’s my routine is completely simple in comparison to all of those steps above. I use the Tea Tree Skin Clearing Facial Wash, the Vitamin E Eye Cream and the Vitamin E moisture cream, which has a much lighter consistency compared to the night cream. Continue reading
So I have recently been loving the Zoeva En Taupe eye shadow palette and the Clinique Lash Power Mascara, so I thought I would share my thoughts with you guys and tell you all just why I love them both so much.
Lets start with the Zoeva palette! I picked this up whilst I was in Selfridges, after watching a Kaushal Beauty youtube video. I instantly knew that it had to be mine. The shades are beautiful, both warm and cool-toned. My favourite shade has to be Exquisite (bottom right), which is perfect to create lots of depth to the eye. The palette includes some matte, and some shimmery shadows. All of them are so so buttery, which makes them so easy to blend, it is honestly heaven. Definitely one of the best formulas of eye shadow I have ever tried. And the best part? It retails at £18, which for ten eyeshadows is a steal.
For me it is not a problem, but a con for some people may be the packaging. It is basically just cardboard, which kind of takes away from the luxury feel. Oh, and it doesn’t have a mirror. But if you can look past these minor details, you will love it. I think i’m going to pick up the Zoeva Cocoa Blend eyeshadow palette next!
This is going to be a lot of rambling, be warned. In a world that is ever changing it is so important that we educate ourselves, and especially take any opportunities of education that we get. I myself realised this a little too late. I completely flunked A-levels and ruined the chance of me going to university as planned, and although it is never too late, it is now extremely difficult.
I have recently enrolled on a Access to HE course through an online college, which will mean that I can continue to work full time. I already know how tough this is going to be (lets not forget that i’m also trying to give the whole blogging thing a shot too). I’m doing it so that university is still an option for me, and because I feel like it would be a great achievement to say that I made it.
However that isn’t necessary the only kind of education I mean when i say “lets be educated”. If we think about it, we could all gain a little bit more knowledge each day, without even trying too hard. Lets make use of our resources. The majority of us have pretty easy access to the internet, so head over to a news page or research a new topic. The internet is buzzing with information. Again, the same with TV’s, the news is so easily available. Read more, libraries are free and you could fill your brain with so much new information. These days we take these things for granted, myself included. So I have decided to make a little mid-year resolution (even though its way past the middle of the year!) to educate myself more, and make use of whats available to me.
We’ll see how it goes, my life is already chaos, trying to squeeze everything in. So maybe I’ll have to schedule watching the news into my new bullet journal!
I hope this has inspired you in some way or another! Let me know how you keep up to date with the world?
I had no intentions of doing a The Body Shop haul at all. However I couldn’t resist when I popped in on my lunch break to pick up my usual face wash, and saw that they had a sale. My basket quickly filled with lots of goodies, some which are repurchases and some I will be trying for the first time.
Left to right: Glazed apple shower gel, Vitamin E moisture/night cream and Tea tree facial wash.
The top four items are all things that I am repurchasing. I picked up three bottles of the Glazed Apple Shower gel, purely because it smells divine! I’m pretty sure this was a part of the christmas range, as I remember I stocked up on it during there Boxing Day sale as well! At £2 each I couldn’t say no.
The Vitamin E moisture and nourishing night cream are both the moisturisers that I use daily, as I find they work great with my dry skin. I especially love the night cream as it is so thick, and I really feel like it absorbs into my skin overnight. The Body Shop are repackaging all of there products, and I believe that this is why they were reduced. The day cream (moisture cream) retails at £12 and I grabbed this for £7.20. And the night cream retails at £13, and I got it for £7.80. Yay for savings.
And the last thing I repurchased was the Tea Tree facial wash, the thing I originally popped in for. There’s not much to say about this really, I just feel like it does the job of cleaning my face before I go in and cleanse. Oh, and it helps make you feel awake when you wash your face in the morning! This wasn’t on sale, however I did pick up two as it was buy one get the second half price. It retails at £5.50, which really doesn’t break the bank.
Left to right: Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet, HONEYMANIA cream body scrub and Seaweed Clarifying Night Treatment.
These are the new items I am eager to try, well, I have already tried the first item today. I am so so so impressed with the Vitamin E Aqua Boost Sorbet. Continue reading
As the title suggests I will be sharing with you my top five makeup must-haves, that i absolutely could not live without, dramatic I know. And also why I love these items so much.
First up, Estée Lauder Double Wear Foundation. This foundation holds a special place in my heart, and that might sound bizarre but I will explain why. Estée Lauder was the first beauty counter that I visited, and after that I was truly in love with makeup. This foundation is very full coverage, which gave me great confidence from the first day I wore it, right up until this very day. Although it is full coverage it still feels comfortable enough to wear everyday, and although I have strayed onto other foundations I still come back to this one! Continue reading
So on Saturday I visited a place called Jump In to celebrate my brothers twelth birthday, so naturally I thought it would be a nice idea to do a little review type post, and basically tell you all about how fun it was.
For those of you who have no idea what Jump In even is, it is basically a massive trampoline ‘arena’, as they call it, as well as foam pits and all that good stuff. Check out their website here.
As you can see there are lots of colourful lights all over the arena, there is also great music playing, both of which really do create a general buzz. It is pretty loud and this is mainly due to the amount of children in one area, so bare that in mind. And as there are so many people bouncing around (literally) it is hard to actually spot the people you are with, so matching coloured tops would not be a bad idea. Continue reading
